Tri-State encourages its members to continue to develop their personal and professional skills.  We offer monthly meeting speakers, half day seminars and an annual conference as opportunities for you to continue your career development.

We also encourage certification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) which offers the PHR (Professional in Human Resources), SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and GPHR (Global Professional in Human Resources) certifications.  In order to prepare for the certification exams, we offer a study group for members.

We understand that some of our members are in transition.  To assist them in their job search and to provide them with updated skills for presenting themselves and their prior work experience in the best light, we have a Career Management Committee that sponsors an In-Transition Group that meets monthly prior to the monthly meeting.
